Let us know if you have some more suggestions on ways to keep your car squeaky clean.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Access Roadside Assistance is here to help you during this COVID-19 outbreak. If you are a member, and have had a roadside emergency (flat tire, battery boost, door unlock, tow) and if you are on your commute to your job in an essential service or are on the road to get groceries, remember that Access Roadside Assistance can help. Please call us providing your last name and your Access Membership number starting with ACC…. (as seen on your membership card).

Please practice social distancing. The tow operator will take your vehicle but an arrangement must be made for your alternative method of transportation as tow operators must not take a passenger in their truck at this time. A taxi or a member of your household must come to pick you up from the incident scene at this time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this time of uncertainty.

CLEANING TIPS: As we all adjust to this new epidemic and take precautions, we wanted to share some tips for keeping your car clean and safe. Caring for your car can be a calming, therapeutic activity. Feel free to pitch in your thoughts, comments, or suggestions in the comments or send us an email to support@accessroadsideassistance.com

Did you know that approximately 30% of people clean the inside of their vehicle once a year? In the face of the pandemic, let’s be cleaning our car every time we need to drive for groceries or an essential service job, before driving and after.

All you’ll need to deep clean the ‘high touch’ parts of your car’s interior and exterior is some surface disinfectant and/or bleach wipes. Use a minimum 60% alcohol for cold and flu virus protection.

Swipe off the bacteria that can accumulate on these surfaces

  • Steering wheel
  • Seat belt
  • Cup Holders
  • Gear Shifter
  • Key Fob
  • Inside and Outside Door Handles
  • Handbrake
  • Center Console
  • Armrests
  • Touch Screen
  • Audio Controls
  • Start/Stop Button
  • Window/Seat/Mirror Controls
  • Rearview Mirror

If you’re inclined to do so, pull out the cabin air filter, replace it, and give the intake vent a thorough spray with disinfectant.

When was the last time you took the vacuum to the car? Now is the prime time. Cleaning upholstery can be done with upholstery shampoo and/or leather cleaner.

Polish your car off with mopping down the floor mats, give them a good scrub, and hang them to dry.

With a ‘spic and span’ car, you’ll be the cleanest ride in the parking lot, and you’ll be ready to face the regular commute or start a road trip once we are all given the green light.
